Welcome to the Association of Home Office Underwriters (AHOU)

The Association of Home Office Underwriters (AHOU) is an international insurance and financial services association with more than 1,400 individual members. The association was founded in 2002 when the Home Office Life Underwriters Association (HOLUA) and Institute of Homes Office Underwriters (IHOU) joined forces to provide one unified underwriting voice.

The mission of the association is to advance the knowledge of sound underwriting of life and disability insurance risks, toward which end it holds meetings, publishes papers and discussions, and promotes educational programs. AHOU also provides valuable information sharing and networking opportunities to its members.
